Why don’t I see a “Quoting” security status in Blue Ocean ATS test data?
“Quoting” applies to IPOs on another exchange, which do not occur during Blue Ocean ATS trading hours.
It is extremely unlikely for clients to encounter a “Quoting” status in Blue Ocean ATS data.
The status is used internally by trading platforms to mark an IPO quoted on another exchange. Since Blue Ocean operates from 8:00 PM ET to 4:00 AM ET, this event does not occur during our hours.
Therefore, quoting status is not disseminated in test data and does not affect live Blue Ocean trading activity.
