Transaction Limits

Blue Ocean does not impose message-rate limits or throttle activity on any ports. All connections are provisioned equally and perform in line with the network path between your systems and our matching engine.

Typical Throughput

  • FIX ports generally support up to 20,000 messages per second

  • SBE ports generally support up to 50,000 messages per second

These figures are guidelines that reflect protocol efficiency. They are not hard limits.

Performance Notes

Ports may show brief acknowledgment delays during micro-bursts, but this does not reduce overall throughput potential. Efficiency often improves over time as traffic scales.

Testing

We recommend validating throughput using your own technology stack and network conditions. This provides the most accurate representation of expected performance.
