Blue Ocean ATS is the alternative trading system operated by Blue Ocean Technologies. It provides overnight access to all U.S. National Market System securities, with electronic order matching and transparent quote display.
The Blue Ocean session runs from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM ET, Sunday evening through Friday morning, excluding U.S. market holidays. Each session begins the prior evening.
The Monday session opens Sunday at 8:00 PM ET and closes Monday at 4:00 AM ET.
The final session of the week opens Thursday at 8:00 PM ET and ends Friday at 4:00 AM ET.
All executions are reported to the NYSE Trade Reporting Facility (TRF) by 8:15 AM ET the following morning. BOATS operates only when the TRF is available, ensuring compliance with U.S. reporting rules.
